Off line marketing

Offline marketing - non-internet or traditional marketing

"Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
T.S. Eliot

is there a role for offline marketing in the internet age?

Yes, and the mix between online and traditional marketing will depend on the area of business you are in and where your target audience is.

For example, if you offer a personal service, if you are an accountant, an osteopath or even the local cinema, you are going to want to attract locals to your services. Advertising in the local paper or signwriting on a vehicle may give excellent visibility.

On the other hand, if you have a niche business with a product that might sell to only a few people in each town and the target market is spread throughout the world then it is going to be extremely expensive to reach your intended audience through traditional methods but some of the internet marketing techniques can be very effective.
